Submission of the Applications
Pianists from Russia and foreign countries of the following two age groups are invited to take part in the Competition:

• junior group aged 12-18;

• senior group aged 19-30.

The age of participants shall be established as of the date of the opening ceremony of the Competition.

The Applications shall be submitted through the online form. The Applications
for participation in the in-presence auditions of the Qualifying round shall be accepted from 1 December 2018 and no later than 5 days before audition
in the relevant city. The Applications for participation in the auditions
of the Qualifying round on the basis of video records shall be accepted from
1 December 2018 to 14 June 2019.
From 30 January 2019 the participation in the Competition is free of charge. Application fees paid before January 30, 2019 will be returned to participants.

Participants who successfully pass the Qualifying round must submit through the online form the Confirmations of participation in the main rounds
by 20 July 2019.
Auditions
The Qualifying round shall be carried out in-presence or on the basis of video records by the competitor's choice.

In-presence auditions of the Qualifying round shall be held in public in 13 cities:

4) Astana (Kazakhstan) - March 27, 2019

5) Berlin (Germany) - April 1, 2019

7) Paris (France) - April 23, 2019

8) Minsk (Belarus) - May 3, 2019

9) Moscow (Russia) - May 18 and 19, 2019

10) Rome (Italy) - May 22, 2019

11) Baku (Azerbaijan) —May 26, 2019

12) St. Petersburg (Russia) - June 6, 2019

13) Washington (United States) - June 10, 2019


Auditions of the Qualifying round on the basis of video records shall be carried out in absentia.

The competition auditions of the three main rounds shall be held in public.
The programs of the 1st and 2nd rounds shall be performed solo, the programs
of the 3rd round shall be performed with the Symphony Orchestra. The winners of the Competition shall take part in the closing concert of laureates.

All compositions shall be performed by heart. The programs presented
by a competitor for the Qualifying round may coincide with the programs
of the main rounds. No repetition of compositions performed in the 1st round
of the Competition shall be allowed in the 2nd round of the Competition.


Procedure for determining
the results of the Competition
The Jury shall evaluate the participants' performance according to the yes/no system in the Qualifying round and in the 1st and 2nd main rounds, while in the frame of the 3rd main round performances shall be evaluated according to the 100-point scale. The 100-point scale provides that the highest and the lowest scores are discarded, whereupon all remaining points are added up and divided by the number of the voting members of the Jury to get the average score. The average score shall be the basis to draw up the rating of finalists and determine the winners of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th prizes.
